"Discovery Club" School Age Program

First Discoveries is proud to offer "Discovery Club" -- our program for school age children, which includes an After School program as well as a Summer Camp.

 

Children ages five and up are welcome to attend:

  • Homework Assistance
           We will provide 30 to 45 minutes of homework time.  Children who have already
           completed their homework for the week can choose from a variety of quiet
           activities.
  • Nutritious Afternoon Snack and Daily Outside Activities -healthy kids are active kids!
  • Weekly Math, Science & Art Enrichment Activities
           From planting and caring for seeds to making our own recycled paper, the Discovery
           club explores interesting topics each week!
  • Low Adult-Child Ratio ... Means more attention for your child!

Summer Camp & School Holidays

During summer camp and school holidays we plan interesting activities to keep your child engaged and interested!

 

Movies at the Local Theater  *  Bowling  *  Walks to the Library
Field Trips to MOSI, the Aquarium, and Other Community Based Activities

Programs Available

We offer after school care with pick up from the following elementary schools:

  • Dale Mabry Elementary
  • Roosevelt Elementary
  • Anderson Elementary
  • Lanier Elementary
  • Ballast Point Elementary
  • Chairmonte Elementary

During school holidays, we offer drop in care for school age children, with special activities and field trips planned to keep children engaged and help them enjoy their day off.

 

Our school age Summer Camp is simply amazing!  Our kids have field trips every day to the library, pool, local museums/aquariums, and so much more!  We also have guest speakers and special presentations when the kids are at school.  Families can register for the entire summer or just for a few weeks.
